The Quayside Cranes        

The London Docklands planners thankfully chose to retain the now defunct cranes. They serve both as a fascinating contrast to the modern development that surrounds them and as a tribute to a bygone era . This photo, a reversed one, was taken by West India Quay.

From here let's take the Docklands Light Railway back under the River Thames to Greenwich's Cutty Sark...
